Abstract (en)
Work injuries have significant medical and economic consequences.
The aim of the dissertation is to examine the influence of individual
and professional factors on the temporary and permanent ability to
work after a work injury. The exposed group consisted of 517
workers who had at least one work injury, and the control group
consisted of 418 workers without injury. The length of temporary
absence from work depends on the type and severity of the injury, the
method of treatment, professional factors (severity of work, work
experience, level of professional stress, training for safe work,
overtime work, night work, type of work, supplementary work,
clearly highlighted rules of safe work, shift work, standardized work,
non-physiological position, satisfaction with pay, application of
personal protective equipment, work difficulty, microclimatic
discomfort, noise level, lighting, vibrations, chemical agents, dust,
participation in traffic) and individual factors (female, education,
marital status, place of residence, comorbidity, reaction time to
acoustic and visual stimuli, cigarette smoking). Professional factors
that affect the permanent working ability are work difficulty, total and
exposed work experience, stress level at work, training for safe work,
overtime work, night work, type of work, additional work, rules of
safe work, work in shifts and norms, chemical agents and dust,
participation in traffic. Individual factors (consumption of drugs that
act on psychological and motor functions, previous injuries, the
presence of undefined pain and symptoms, surgical interventions,
endocrine diseases, neurological diseases, arterial hypertension,
diabetes, hematopoietic system disturbances, gastrointestinal and lung
diseases, asthma, osteoporosis, musculoskeletal and kidney diseases,
dyslipidemia, hearing impairment, increased body mass index, eye
diseases, psychiatric disorders, cardiovascular diseases, prolonged
reaction time to acoustic and visual stimuli) affect the retirement of
the injured worker and the change of workplace. Prevention measures
and risk groups of workers to which they should be specially directed
are defined.

“Data exchange” service offers individual users metadata transfer in several different formats. Citation formats are offered for transfers in texts as for the transfer into internet pages. Citation formats include permanent links that guarantee access to cited sources. For use are commonly structured metadata schemes : Dublin Core xml and ETUB-MS xml, local adaptation of international ETD-MS scheme intended for use in academic documents.
