Abstract (en)
Rare-earth based inorganic materials are very attractive in
scientific research, as well as numerous industry applications,
due to their specific properties that arise from the partially filled
4f orbitals. The aim of this thesis is the synthesis,
characterization, and detailed investigation of the structural,
magnetic, and luminescent properties of yttrium trifluoride
materials doped with rare-earth ions. The scope of this research
includes the synthesis of two sets of solid solutions, YbxY1-xF3
and YF3:Yb/Ln (Ln=Er, Tm, Ho), by the reaction of an
appropriate amount of oxides with ammonium hydrogendifluoride.
The various characteristic properties, such as the
structural and magnetic properties, for different ytterbium
concentrations within the first set of solid solutions are studied in
detail. Within the second set of solid solutions, the main focus is
placed on the investigations of their luminescent properties, as
well as potential applications of YF3:Yb/Er samples in
thermometry.

“Data exchange” service offers individual users metadata transfer in several different formats. Citation formats are offered for transfers in texts as for the transfer into internet pages. Citation formats include permanent links that guarantee access to cited sources. For use are commonly structured metadata schemes : Dublin Core xml and ETUB-MS xml, local adaptation of international ETD-MS scheme intended for use in academic documents.
