The History of the Serbs from 1800 to 1918
Abstract (en)
The subject of the doctoral dissertation is the history of Kosovska
Mitrovica during the wars of 1912-1918. As not much has been
written about this town in the mentioned time frame, our goal is to
process the topic from the historical, military and demographic
aspect, based on available sources of domestic and foreign
provenance, with the addition of existing literature. Through research,
we tried to present in more detail and comprehensively the course of
war operations and the liberation of Mitrovica in the First Balkan
War, the conflicts between the Serbian army and Central Forces
troops in the fall of 1915 and the liberation of Kosovska Mitrovica in
the Great War in October 1918. political circumstances: the
establishment of a new government in the autumn of 1912, the events
that preceded the First World War, as well as the situation in the city
during this conflict. In November 1915, the town on the Ibar was a
"meeting place" for the Supreme Command of the Serbian Army,
army commanders, Serbian diplomatic staff, representatives of
foreign countries, journalists-reporters from the Balkan Front and
numerous civilians who decided not to wait for the enemy army in
their places. stay. The time of the occupation administration from
November 1915 to October 1918 is also an important segment of the
doctoral dissertation. Mitrovica in Kosovo became part of the Austro-
Hungarian occupation zone, the Military General Governor in Serbia, formed on January 1, 1916, by order of the Imperial-Royal Supreme
Command. As a city settlement, it was the seat of the so-called
district. new areas. The occupying power brought numerous changes
in religious, political and social life, which were mostly manifested in
the field of economy, education and schooling, as well as in cultural
activities.
In order to present the research as clearly as possible, we have divided
the text into seven thematic units that follow a chronological
framework. The list of used sources and literature, with an attachment
in the form of photographic material, is given at the end of the
dissertation.

“Data exchange” service offers individual users metadata transfer in several different formats. Citation formats are offered for transfers in texts as for the transfer into internet pages. Citation formats include permanent links that guarantee access to cited sources. For use are commonly structured metadata schemes : Dublin Core xml and ETUB-MS xml, local adaptation of international ETD-MS scheme intended for use in academic documents.
